Cakes by Nina are all homemade using quality ingredients, only free range eggs are used, though cakes and cookies are made nut free to the best of my knowledge we can only be guided by the manufacturers details on the packaging, we therefore cannot personally guarantee no nuts, and because each cake is individual to you there will be slight differences in design.
No order will be accepted verbally it can be provisionally agreed but confirmation of order requirements and pricing is via email or text message to avoid any confusion, also no slot will be booked until deposit is received.

Getting the most out of your cake, store your cake in a cool, dry, hygienic condition away from steam, moisture & humidity (not the fridge) as this will make colours run.
The higher the cake is the more supports will need to be used for structural purposes, ie dowels. If you have figures made dried spaghetti, lollipop sticks or skewers have been used inside for supports. You will be advised what has support on collection or delivery. Roses will have polystrene cones inside to keep the weight down.
All cakes are beautifully cellophaned wrapped, this not only looks impressive but creates the right ventilation for your cake and keeps the dust off, this is not for supporting the cake.
Cakes and decorations are fragile and should be treated as such, every effort is made to ensure your decorations and cake are completely stable. Cakes by Nina takes no responsibility once a cake has been collected/left the premises. For an additional cost (see below) we can deliver your cake which we will of course take responsibility for up and until receipt. A deposit is required of £100 for any order over £200, £50 upto £100 and £70 upto £200 and £150 anything over £300. Tis can be paid via secure paypal on our website, bac or via cheque, until a deposit is received no order is accepted/guaranteed (unless otherwise agreed). Deposits are non-refundable. On receipt of deposits you are confirming that you have read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions.
Advice - We DO NOT recommend transporting cakes in foot wells or propped up on car seats , they should be placed in a cool horizontal flat space for even weight distribution and not subjected to solar radiation (direct heat from windows), a non-slip mat will help to avoid the cake slipping however care must be taken whilst in transport to avoid forces.
To create your hand crafted bespoke celebratory cake, Cakes by Nina invests on average 6 - 12 hours of time together with quality ingredients used.
If you are unable to collect a cake on a particular day you are required to advise Cakes by Nina immediately, once you have paid your deposit you are bound by the terms and condition of this contract to pay the full amount when due. If you have elected to collect and do not collect on the agreed day of collection you are required to pay the full amount and will be invoiced duly for the full outstanding balance. All cakes are bespoke to your requirements and only you. Cakes are perishable and only on agreement under extenuating circumstances Cakes by Nina will hold your cake for a maximum 3 days.
Full payment of wedding cakes is at least two week before the event. If this isn't paid then your cake will not be delivered or released unless otherwise agreed. No payment on the day will be accepted, wedding cake deposit is £100.
Cancellations of orders must be received at least two weeks prior to your specified delivery date and received by email, but please note initial deposits will not be refunded unless under extreme circumstances. In extreme circumstances Cakes by Nina reserves the right to cancel an order and also reserves the right to refuse an order due to exceptional circumstances.
Cakes by Nina will not disclose your personal details to any third parties.
With regard to the supply of allergy cakes, Cakes by Nina always lists the ingredients used so please ensure you read this carefully and if you have read this carefully then please enjoy, Cakes by Nina holds no responsiblity for any reactions due to an allergy free cake, it is the sole responsibility of the client.
Cakes by Nina usually requiries three weeks notice to produce a novelty cake and usually three months notice for a wedding cake due to the time making models and drying time
Candy Trees are not intended for small children and all children should be supervised at all times, due to sharp edges of the cocktail sticks used to secure the sweets in place they could be a potential choking hazard. Children must be supervised at all times by an adult whilst picking sweets off the trees . Candy trees are deemed unsafe for young children aged for 0-3 year olds. Please note that some sweets may contain nuts.
Cakes by Nina holds no responsibility for any accidents that may occur from a candy tree and any allergic reactions due to Candy Trees.
Cakes and Wedding Consultations we would be most grateful if you could keep you collection appointment times and if you are running late (ie such as an hour plus late) to have the courtesy to advice us of such, this enables us to plan our day, anything later than an hour unless we have been adviced we cannot guarantee your slot. Please remember we are running a business and the time wasted waiting isn't acceptable as it stops us carrying on with our work commitments and family life - Thank you
Delivery Pricing Structure
Local deliveries will be £10.00 unless otherwise organised, this has to be organised in advance due to work commitments
Standard delivery is £20 but depending on venue this will be quoted separately
Collection is obviously completely free.

Having just completed several long journey deliveries (and sitting in lots of traffic) we realised we had to put a proper pricing structure in place, this includes time, wear and tear on the car and obviously fuel expenditure, please remember cakes and decorations are very fragile.
UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO NON RETURN OF SEVERAL CUPCAKE WEDDING STANDS WE ARE UNABLE TO HIRE THEM OUT, YOU CAN BUY THEM FROM ME FOR £45 AND ONCE YOU HAVE RETURNED THE STAND YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK IT HAS TO BE WITHIN A FOUR WEEK PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF YOUR WEDDING, NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THIS DATE SO IF YOU HAVE ASKED ME TO SET UP FOR YOU AND HAVENT PURCHASED A STAND FROM ME PLEASE ENSURE THERE IS ONE THERE FOR ME TO USE THANK YOU. (Please also note some cheap stands are not of the quality required to take the weight of wedding cake toppers they are purely for cupcakes), and if this is the case when I turn up at the venue I can only be responsible for putting the cupcakes on display.
